.98 @ Walmart. As some of you know, Jacob is my youngest son, and he's supposedly NT.  The pediatrician won't refer him for an evaluation so we're stuck till he's 3 on that one.  I'm not going to push it right now because by the time he fight is over he'll be 3 and the school system would just take over anyway.  I called the school board office directly and spoke to a few people there about an evaluation and we will discuss it further after B's IEP meeting is over.  This doesn't concern me though.  As some of you also know, I do B's therapy myself.  I try to mix rdi and aba, and he's made some progress.  I can't afford to pay for a therapist out of pocket so I bought the book "A Work in Progress" and I'm trying to use that as my guide now.  Our next task will be opening food containers, because I don't want him to have to wait for his lunch when it's time to eat in school.  I hope he can pick it up quickly.  Well back to Jacob since this post is about him.  Since I know we're stuck till his birthday on an evaluation and any outside EI, I've started doing some ABA on him.  I figured it can't hurt.  I've only been working with him for a week, and he can already touch his nose, clap his hands, touch his eye, touch his mouth.  He's stuck on stomach and head right now, but I think it won't take long for him to pick it up.  Jacob is not completely non verbal like B.  He says a few words and phrases, but not conversationally.  He sings the songs for his favorite shows pretty well.  His speech seems to be more echolic.  He doesn't pick up new words easily.  He's also a computer genius I think.  He's a little over 2 and a half and he can start the computer up, put in a dvd if he wants to watch a movie, open itunes if he wants to listen to music, play cards, open microsoft money, and connect to yahoo instant messenger.  I'm probably forgetting about half of what he can do.  Oh he can use the mouse very well.  He knows to click the x when he gets into something he doesn't want to.  I think this computer is becomming an obsession with him.  It's the first thing he does in the morning.  I've started unplugging it alot during the day, but he's figured out how to plug it back in.  I just wanted to get ya'lls opinions on this.  Do you have any suggestions?  I can't move the computer into another room because I'm on dialup and the only phone jack I have use of is in the living room.  There's another one in my dad's room, but he hates this machine.  I've thought about running a longer wire and putting it in my room, but Brendon likes to chew wires so that won't work either.  Any creative ideas short of getting rid of it entirely?
