Making some progress!!! | Autism PDD

Good morning everyone!!! I found out yesterday that my daycare child will be getting a home eval. from something called First Steps. I'm still new to all of this, so if any of you know about this, then I'd love to learn more about it. I'm from Kentucky, so I don't know if First Steps is something that is in every state or not. I'm just glad for him to be getting some help.

melomo8339288.2337847222This is good news, I am so glad Mom is so proactive with child. I don't know a lot about First Steps, we did not do this with our child, but have heard good things about them. I think this is the first step getting child services like OT,SP. And they will probably give Mom lots if information on what happens next. Great

First Steps is the name for the State's Early Intervention Program. MO calls it that too but other states use other names!

We had a wonderful experience with it for my dd! Good luck!

ETA: I LEARNED SO MUCH, from observing the therapy sessions, on how to help my child! That was icing on the cake and I highly recommend observing, as much as you can!
