I am feeling defeated today! | Autism PDD

Share

Long story short: we are not wealty by any streach of the immagination. My daughter is in 9 hours a week of amazing ABA 2.5 hours away. We have a Funraiser to help us with that as well as other families that try real hard. I found out about a computer program offered in a summer camp (fast for word) it was 00 for eight 4 hour days for 2 kids, my mother in law helped so we were able to do it, I was told that it was 0 each for the program to be installed at home, got my tax return, it was enough I was happy, then I found out today that it is 0 a month each!! And there is just no way! The problem the program is language based and both of my kids are doing great and i want them to be able to continue - so what is a parent to do

What state do you live in??? There should be more funds available for your children, that makes me mad

I have no idea but just want to say I feel the same way. It seems like there
are some people making money of this.
My insurance pays nothing whatsoever for asd. But when my ds had a sty
(that went away 3 month later) they authorized two specialists and an
operation with full anastesia. (We did not do it). I just don't
understand. There is something wrong with the insurance and healthcare
industry.
I found a summercamp close by - two weeks OT. /flortime 4 hours a day
- sounds great but it is 00.
Why?

thanks guys, but I am feeling hopeful again. What a roller coaster. I just heard of a program called Teach Town. It is ABA based and looks awesome, I think I am going to do it. It is only a month with sibling discounts has anyone heard og it? This is the link http://web.teachtown.com/ i am going to do a new post just to see if anyone has tried it and to send some to look at it.
