A silly question | Autism PDD

Share

I am a child care provider for a little boy who we are awaiting a diagnosis for.  I come to this forum to try to get help and info. on taking care of him.  I know this will sound dumb to you all who are more knowledgeable about autism, but I've been reading several posts and you all sometimes call your children "ds" (I think).  I was just wondering if someone could explain why you use that and what it means!!!

Thanks!!!

ds = dear son

dd = dear daughter

dh = dear husband

dw = dear wife

dear son.

dd = dear daughter

dc = dear child

dh = dear husband

There is a list of abbreviations somewhere on the forum - I believe it is under the "Newbies" section that is always at the top of the threads.

Edited to add: WiMom - you beat me to it!

I also wanted to add that I use these terms because I don't use my name or any of my family's for privacy's sake.

Thanks so much!!!  It totally makes sense now!!!  I guess I missed out on that list somewhere!!!

I appreciate you letting me know.
