i got tired of waiting for school to happen for my 3 year old, who never really received any services yet other than evals. i made my own school, and we sit down on the laptop and do google image searches. through these web surfing sessions, he has learned SO MANY WORDS--- WOW!
milk, hands, eyes, feet, and so much more!
it's so easy... just open your google (or yahoo, whatever) homepage, type in a word and click "images" search... voila! so many pictures of that object. my son responds so much better to computer than books, so it has worked out great...
he even says TOOTHBRUSH now! wow!
i was going to make flashcards, but now i don't need to - yes!
Google images can also be helpful when you're working on categorizing. If you type in "forest animals," it will bring up various images of forest animals. Pick a category, and you will get pages of images.
