For all you big readers out there, I thought I'd share this book I'm
currently reading: Reasonable People by Ralph James Savarese.
It's a true account of a couple who adopted a 5 year-old non-verbal
autistic boy out of the foster care system.
It's about much more than autism. It's a political, sociological, and deeply
personal journey to becoming a parent and being forever changed by this
adoption. It's incredibly readable, highly literate, and has one of the most
educated passages I've ever encountered about IEP's.
I just think it's a swell read, and thought I'd pass it along...
Thanks....I am always looking for a good book to read.
