any one has an older picky eater | Autism PDD

My son is 4 and is a very picky eater his food has to be dry and crunchy and frozen or cold. He takes scooby doo one a day vitamins tho. I also give him pediasure nutripals (the one with the monkey on it). His doctor said not to force him to eat anything (not that it would work anyway!) cuz hes on target with his weight/height and everything. I am going to get him into occupational therapy and hopefully that will help is what i heard.

Tony is 12-1/2 and still a very picky eater.  As far as I know, other than being a bit over weight, he has no health problems.  Doctor is not concerned with his weight right now, and I try to keep him busy with swimming, tennis, etc.

any one has a kid who is a picky eater and doesnt take no vitamin at all. does your kid have any health issues right now because of that?

is hight and weght okey now?

should i force hime to take liquid vitamin or not to be worried.

pleaes  i need some help very baddly it kills me.

heh, i was a picky eater until about high school.

I always had a vitimin, and too this day i still take it.

my dr. also (way back in the late 80's) told my parents when I was little not to force me to eat, i cant beleive the advice still has not changed almost 20 years later!!!

Once high school came, and afterwards I would eat like a normal person, and will eat anything, whereas in the past i would stick to only a few foods, over time, the choices I had grew only a little, but once high school came I gave myself a ton of options, and will generally eat what everyone else eats.

To this day im very thin... Im 6'1" and weigh 150-160lbs, i almost fear i did not grow right, during my growth spirts i did not have enough food, or the right kind to gain weight proporly, however, as skinny as I am I feel very healthy, im very energetic (most of the time) I enjoy hiking long distance (as opposed to others) I love hiking mountains (im always the first to the summet if in a group) and I feel very young (im about to turn 25 in sept)

If I could go back, 1 thing i would tell myself back then was to eat what everyone else eats, so unless I invent a time matchine, im stuck being s toothpick for life probably, to this day I cant gain weight. My son is almost 13 and is still a very picky eater.  Fortunately, he takes vitamins and supplements with no complaints, including a chocolate flavored powder called Kidz Super Food, that I get at Whole Foods.  It contains a full days serving of fruits and vegetables.  http://www.amazinggrass.com/rainbow-diet.html  I mix it with chocolate Instant Breakfast.  He has no health issues, but is definitely slender, weight-wise.
