Haircut success | Autism PDD

Haircuts for our boy started out as being somewhat akin to invasive surgery. Yesterday my DW took Tyler to the kind lady who cuts his hair. He walked in to the salon and while my wife sat down, he walked on to the cutting floor and waited for Debbie to finish her client. When She was finished, He climbed onto the chair and let her put the cloak around him and waited quietly for my wife and Debbie to come into the room.   He then pleasently let debbie buzz off his hair with clippers, a first and did not ever whine, cry, fidget or complain. In fact, he seemed quite happy with the results.   The photo of him and me is from 2 weeks ago at a local amusement park, He was riding adult roller coaster and probably spent one of his last times in kiddelandAwww - Tyler is one good-looking boy!  My son just got the same haircut this past week.  For whatever reason, he actually enjoys getting a buzz cut more than a scissor cut.  Has Tyler been rubbing his head since the buzz?Good job on the hair cut and riding the roller coaster.  Congrats!!!

He is SOOO handsome.

YAY for Tyler!! Way to go little man.
What a cutey-got sheared like a little lamb ; )That's great!  My ds was the same way with haircuts!  After his first and ONLY salon haircut, I started doing it at home since it was such a traumatic experience for everyone.  For the first year or two of haircuts, I literally had to hold him in a headlock to get it cut.  Thankfully, he's much better now.  He still whines a little bit but I no longer have to hold his head.  He's a handsome little guy!!!  Thanks for sharing the pics of him!!!

Yay!!  That's awesome.  He looks great.  I can't wait for the day my three year old will cooperate for a haircut.  Right now, I pop chocolate in his mouth constantly as he trembles in my lap with tears rolling down his face.  The only thing that keeps him from flipping out and bolting is the constant chocolate I'm popping in his mouthWIMomof2:

No he hasn't been rubbing his head, but he is looking a little longer at his reflection in the mirror
I think he wants to see if the hair was going to come back suddenly. Lookin' good!
