About a day or so ago, my son had his monthly visit with the psychiatrist and we disgussed the possibility of him having pdd nos. After my first post I remembered that when he was three years old I did take him to see a neurologist about the idea of him having pdd. The nurologist at that time did not think so but anyway after this last visit with his current psy. I really had to pursue this road again.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I have got the ball rolling. I made the phone call to get my evaluation. He will be going to The Children's Hospital in September to get his evaluation. I am so excited.
Also, can anyone tell me the point of seeing a genetisist? I did that also but all of his results came back negative. What exactly are they looking for?
good luck with your evaluation!! A geneticist for your information just checks for gene mutations or disorders, not only from your child, but from both parents if possible. Fragile X is a genetic disorder for example. Sometimes, its helpful to find out.
