Thank you everyone!  My mom swears by the research she has read on yeast overgrowth and she swears Ali has all the symptoms.  Ali has had several yeast infections so far.  My mom and I both have fibromyalgia and one doctor speculates yeast overgrowth is to blame for fibromylagia.....

You know, yeast could be a contributing factor.  Since we started my kids on the biomedical treatments, I started taking probiotics because I was feeling tired and not well all the time.  I went through yeast die off and since then I have been feeling great.  You might consider finding a good probiotic to take for yourself and for your child.  Probiotics already exist in the gut, your just supplementing it.  If you google candida overgrowth, you will get a lot of hits.  You can also google yeast and autism and get some hits as well.

You might also want to look into if your child has yeast overgrowth.  It can cause hyperactivity.

Does anyone know...is there any supplement/vitamin/food that can help regulate a child's physical and mental hyperactivity??  Ali is so hyper at times that she cannot control herself at all...she just keeps moving.  Also, sometimes she gets so hyper mentally...it is like she cannot focus on one thing more than a few seconds...her mind seems to be racing.  Other times she is out of it mentally and zoned out.  Is there anything natural that would help regulate her?  I just do not want her to have to go on prescription meds.  until that is the absolute last resort.

Well ... I bought something called Attentive Child.  It has omega-3's ... I cannot say if it is helping or not, but it is out there.  I would say any omega-3 is worth trying and pretty harmless.foxl, I have heard of it and have thought of getting it for C, bu t I already give him omega 3 6 9 every day. ANything else good in it ? Also Anna1109, magnesium is supposed to be good and gabba. I say " supposed to be" because I give it to C , but who knows? Its one o fthose things I am not sire if it helps or not. Calm child is sold at Vitamin Shop and I have heard people on th e board mention it.. I tried it and again... not sure.I give my son a homeopathic remedy called Calm Child.  It's sold in a bottle and you put drops in their juice.  I also bought some ADD chewable vitamins.  I figured it can't hurt, but it's been a month and I haven't seen a difference.  At least he's getting minerals.  He also takes a flinstone vitamin daily.
