Excellent - Thanks! I actually gave Temple's teaching tips, along with a couple of books, to the teacher my youngest son is going to have in his regular classroom this next year. She actually asked for reading recommendations, so I just gave her a few things as a gift.GREAT link! Short enough my husband MIGHT read them, LOL.Did you know she's 58 years old? Here are two interviews with her on NPR:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5165123 - A long conversation from January 2006. She says she thinks like Google image -- you put in a keyword (language) and her mind comes up with a ton of images (thinking in pictures).

I just think the world of Temple Grandin. Thanks for sharing the links. She's the greatest...she offers some great insight into the mind of an autistic person. Bless her and all the struggles she had to go through to get where she is today. Thanx for the link! The MIND institute features her lecture on their website - I really enjoyed it.

Thank you for posting this. We are Temple Grandin fans big time !We just met Temples mom (Eustacia Cutler) at a Families Together conference. She is 82 and going strong! In those days you institutionalized! It caused major marriage problems ect. She wrote a book about raising an autistic child in the 50's and her experiences raising Temple. Its called A Thorne in My Pocket Tempple Grandin's Mother Tells the Family Story. A good read and wow have times changed!
