Hi Arlette!  Here's a thread I started on this very topic, I think you'll get a lot of answers here.

Hey, everyone. I am curious to see if any of you have any experience in placing your children in a Waldorf school. Some of the reading I've done indicates that this method can be good for kids on the spectrum, but I'd like to hear real experiences. My son is 5 and is high-functioning, but has poor impulse control, which is his main challenge in school (he is in an integrated public school program). I am always hesitant to even approach private schools anymore because we had such a bad experience at a Montessori when he was 3...though the classroom size was great, as was the one on one attention he got, the staff was just not trained to deal with his outbursts, frustration, and obssessive thinking about his topic(s) of interest. They were used to dealing with precocious, quick learners, and not with more intense little people like my Max! We were "asked to leave" after he hit the principal during one of his tantrums...any thoughts/ideas about Waldorf would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Arlette :)thanks so much!!! it is so great to have found this site...i've really been looking to connect like this with others. :)Arlette,
we have friends whose son has adhd and he is thriving at a Waldorf
school. I considered it but decided against it. Part of my reson was that
our Waldorf school has a strict no TV/no computer rule (not just in school
but at home as well) and I find that computer skills are a strength of my
ds's I want to build on rather than deny. Some Waldorf school are also
rather itent on developing beautiful handwriting and while my ds needs
practise it is not something where he will ever measure up.
I'd call your local waldorf school and ask them about their experince with
asd kids.
