That's excellent! That is wonderful..Sarah had her violin obsession but it didnt last long~it was way too difficult for her..she can play piano by ear so we are focusing on that instrument for now:) I used to post here a few years ago. Now my son Benjamin is getting to be a big boy of almost 9yo. He has made many misraculous milestones since pre-school and Kindergarten. Today he is a budding young violinist. He fell for the violin almost 2 tears ago while on a field trip to the performing arts center. His class (and school) was seated in the mezzanine section. He was not sure that he liked being up there. Then later a single ballerina came out and danced to violin music. Benjamin began to sway to the music. It looked liked he would be raptured.
I knew then that I would have to look in to it for him. A year later, a teacher was contracted for his school. He now loves his violin. Money gets tight on occassion, but I was determined for him to have lessons. There were weeks that we had to skip the at-home lesson ($). But his summer is better. Benjamin actually played in front of people. I was just amazed how the instrument brought out this kind of strength from him. Ben never liked attention before that. amazing. I sent digital videos to as many family members as I could. There are so many little mini miracles connected to playing the violin. I'll save some more of the story for later.I think thatit great that she found an instrument that she is wanting to play. Benjamin and Italked about how somany people use music as their 'voice'. He loves the book, Trumpet of the Swans. I don't understand what just happened to my text. At any rate, Benjamin really took hold of that idea and it seems to have given him a little more boldness and less apprehension.
