Hooray for the PTA !!
Keep up the good work LeAnneC !! I'm sure your active involvement will make Cole's school a better place for all kids !!
Hey ya'll! I'm on a committee of parents at Cole's school who are trying to build a sensory playground outside. We already have built a sensory room indoors, but for large scale stuff, obviously, we need to be out of doors. Have already posted a topic about this (and got great ideas, thanks!), and have great news! My husband hooked us up with a builder in the area who did the construction for a massive Boundless Playground last year. The builder, nicest guy alive, has gobs of fund raising sources left over from last year's project. BUT! He needs links to other sensory playground sites so he can see (and the foundations with deeeeeep pockets can see) what one of these looks like live. I build a schematic for all the individual pieces we chose (don't want a playsystem), put in photos, etc, but we would like to see another rendition. This site is to be LARGE SCALE STUFF and for SENSORY DIETS. We have a trampoline inside, we have fine motor stuff inside, etc. Most of the boundless playgrounds are geared toward kids with mobility issues, not sensory integration problems. Not to repeat myself, but let me repeat myself (!) on the list of stuff we currently envision: Got any links to share? My budget just went towards the stars, so we want to look at everything! Many thanks!
