Adam will do this occassionally, as he is older he can express that it makes him feel good. Although it bugs everyone around him. It is not often and if it continues too long we usually ask him to try and stop. Yes, since my guy was an infant he had a strange laugh he does a lot, still does. Our does this too...but I will recommend discussing this w/ neuro. My dd
has two "versions" of "innappropriate laughing." One is what we still see,
just her laughing (sometimes VERY loud) for seemingly no reason. The
other, she would squint her eyes, lead backward, look up at lights, & laugh
(she looked like she does before surgery, on 'goofy juice')...these are
seizures. So, it may be worth getting an EEG & ruling out seizures. This Symptom comes and goes...but lately..he is laughing constantly...with no caus or situation to laugh..and its becoming a problem more at night in bed...He is hysterical laughing in the dark...Anyone deal with this?Yes. Payne goes in stages....
Erin does this too.....and it usually cycles til she can't stop.....it is often followed by head banging, which brings out even more laughter.....sigh.......
Adam will smile when he is being corrected.

When my son was a baby he would laugh for no reason for more than an hour at a time. He is five now and does not do it anymore but he did alot as an infant.my dd too...she can go from hysterical laughter to crying in 1 second flat!I posted this same thing recently-my ds was doing it for about a week and has stopped for now. It freaked me out at first, but uts better than screaming!
