Thanks.
I'm sure I'll be posting more of myself as I get better at getting all my stuff on to the computer. It's actually fun doing all of that filming like what I posted over in the hangout forum.
Good 'ol
southern rock is a great place to start, because of all the bluesy influences in
the bass hooks. NICE!
Funny you should put it that way, because my start was actually in alternative rock as well as Christian rock. And it's those bass patterns that are now being thrown into this southern rock band. It should be interesting to see how the two mesh. We are recording two songs right now, and I haven't yet laid the bass tracks; I'm listening to the scratch demo right now and finding my lines, which I will try to insert Tuesday when I go back to the studio. I am anxious to see how it fits with what our guitarists have come up with.
Ah, I was writng my reply while you were posting the answer. Good 'ol

OK, since you had to go and flatter me, here are some of my "bass" pictures, although they were taken when my hair was shorter...
Later.
I generally only sing backing/harmony vocals because my allergies can make my singing voice less than dependable at times, and backup vocals are somewhat more expendible, if necessary, than lead.
(okay, it was more like 2 or 3, but still...
)
My very first boyfriend in high school played the double bass in a jazz band,
and made me swoon. From then on I was kind of addicted, I suppose.
Several funksters and rock and rollers later, I made the tragic mistake of
marrying a saxophone player. Nothing against the sax, just I should have
known...
But seriously, stickboy, you are quite the looker!
Thanks for the photos.
What kind of music do you play? And you sing too? I'm impressed. Thanks for the pics. What kind of music are you most into?Stickboy - So what kind of music do you play? Who do you wish you could play like?
