I dont know how early one should see a developmental pediatrician but since the wait is long you may start the wheels rolling and get an appointment..wont hurt anything and you will feel tons better having answers instead of worrying about everything..write down what bothers you or looks out of place..its helps when you go to the doc:) Best of luck! I have a 16 mo son and I do the exact same thing you do. I think it is the mommmy in us to look for signs and try to catch things early. Someone did remind me to be sure to ENJOY the baby while he is little and not worry so much. I have to keep reminding myself of this, many times a day too
Consider spacing out his shots. I thought you hadn't vaccinated Trinity? I just wondered what the difference was - maybe I'm remembering wrong.
Anyway, whatever you do - don't let them give the MMR all at once. They CAN order the shots separately and please, please consider doing this. I got a link today to a story in Britain about the MMR shot and how 1 in 58 kids over there have some form of autism. I'll try to post it...
Flu shots - just say NO! They still have mercury in them and that is when we noticed a regression in our ds. We got him flu shots at age 3 1/2 to protect our baby daughter, who couldn't get them (she was less than 6 months old). This was right after that winter where lots of kids had died because of the flu. I thought I was doing everyone a favor by getting him the flu shot!
Ok, so here is my question; ever since all this has started I have been doing so much research and now I keep looking at my other kids, especially the baby so close. I keep asking myself is that a sensory issue? Could this be ASD related? This is my first boy so I know things are going to be dif. but he is sooo active he hardly sleep he is VERY VERY clingy, he mouths everything(lays on the floor to chew on the corner of the walls) bites all the time....I get so scared when I read about parents who say their ASD kid did what he is doing now as a baby. He is soo very social and loving, always laughing, already says 5 words(kinda)is just about walking, had 2 full teeth by 3mons and now has 9...so he is way ahead of schedule, I guess I just worry too much, but am I the only one who does this?? Especially with a middle child that is going though all this? He has shots coming up and that terrifies me too...
Am I going crazy???
