Spray on band-aids? Who knew? I'm going to go buy some today--thanks
for the tip!
My son hated bandaids up till age 4 or so. I tried some form of liquid bandaid and it stung like heck. Hopefully the spray-on kind is better. Here's a link to a similar question on this forum back in March.

I had this problem with Andrew until I bought them in his favorite character (scooby doo) and told him they were a sticker and if he put a sticker on his boo boo it would feel better. Now any time any other kid gets a bandaid he has to have one too. I have the problem with Nikolas too but this has not worked for him so I just try to keep it clean and skip the bandaid. If he wont let you use liquid bandaids, (i have tried as well) have you tried the spray on kind? He wont even have to sit still, you can say its owie medicine (which it is) and just spray on. Doesnt take long to dry either. My ds is same way about bandaids and the liquid Qtip kind

Anyone have any good band-aid alternatives? He won't let me use liquid
Surprise! Surprise!
MamaKat, my boy LOVES band-aids !! He can feign a small injury and shout out "plaster! plaster!" And he won't be content with one, he will have maybe two. Worse is when his "injury" is on the forehead.. you can imagine the plasters on his head... as if he was a victim of child abuse !!!
But seriously, if he doesn't take to band-aid... then maybe an antiseptic cream.... not liquid! If he sees something oozing out from a tube then he'll like it compared to something sticky or something yellowish from the bottle...
I wish I had my camera one day when we were out. She bumped her eye, or poked herself in the eye and had to have a band-aid. I tried to explain it wouldn't help that kind of injury. She put the band-aid over her eye like an eye patch and wore it for an hour or so. It was crazy, but made her feel better the instant it was on her face. Hey, if you need to skip the bandaids, at least spray some Bactine on the site. I tell my boys, "okay, I hate to tell you this, but this REALLY might tickle some! Now, no smiling..." The bactine has a pain killer in it, as well as antibiotic action. I blow on it so it feels cold, and they just love it.
(every bruise needs one...lol!). What helped her somewhat are those tatoo
bandaids (they don't move from the skin at all--I think that's bugged her
about old-school band-aids). Also, we always pick favorite characters. Still,
she tends to allow us put them on, but wants to remove them minutes later
(except for a chin band-aid put on--for no reason--last week, remained for
4 days!). We HAVE to clean & cover any bad cuts--she gets MRSA infections.
