I am so proud of ds he had such a wonderful day today.
He had his private speech and OT this morning. When each
therapist came out to get us he looked at them and smiled (dimples and
everything). When his OT (who he loves) started to carry him in
he looked back over his shoulder to make sure I was coming. The
best part of this morning besides signing More for Speech and climbing
all over the place for OT was that he did it all without his
binky. We were all so very proud of him. This is the first
time he has done this, since his hospital visits over the past few
months binky is his best friend. It was so cute that by the end
of OT he was grabbing his shirt and pulling it away from his chest
signing Give Me, Please. Meaning I want my binky now but without
any tears and looking at me.
Then he had ABA this afternoon and his therpist walked into the living
room and he smiled at her and then did a great job. He finally after
many weeks put his hands together for Do This to clap hands.
I love good therapy days. Then we went out for dinner and Ice
cream to celebrate. He is such a hard worker. I hope he
knows how much I love him and think he is doing his best.
If you are still reading thanks for listening to my rambling. It
has been a tough couple of weeks for me. I have been pretty down
but today has been a really good day.
Don't you just LOVE days like this! I hope your little guy is on a roll. Yeah for him!I am glad he had a great day. Our little ones really do work very hard.
Sounds like he is progressing so that is good news. My son will have a bad
day once in a while now, but not very often. He has been in therapy for a
while( over three years) Just hang in there during the rough times and know
that things will eventually get better.I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy you had a good day Paula - HOORAY! May you be blessed with many more! That's what keeps us going, all the really good days. I can feel your pride
and your relief. Congrats to all!
