My sons both had IEP meetings in April. I still have not received copies of them. Isn't there some time frame in which I am supposed to receive them? I contacted their IEP manager and she apologized and said she would get those right out, but it's been 4 weeks now and the teachers are on school vacation. I like their IEP manager a lot, we do a lot of general chit chat, we've had lunch together on a couple of occassions, so she knows how to contact me and where I live and so on...so not sending it to the right place isn't an issue.
I could send her an email again, that's not a problem, but it seems I should have gotten those papers in a fair amount of time.
Thanks
Well, it is summer.
But, we got our final drafts the week after school let out.
Maybe she is on vacation?
I just got my final draft 2 days ago.
I'm not sure if there's a specific requirement. I googled and found references to "district policy" (for example 10 calendar days) and also found this excerpt from a hearing involving a family's dispute with a school district.
"As with the regulatory requirement for a parental copy of the IEP discussed above, there seems to be an implicit requirement of timeliness which the District appears to have met."

Four weeks is definitely not "timely." I think a reminder is in order, and maybe you can ask what the district policy is.
Good luck with everything.
A copt of the IEP should be received in 14 days. If you did it in april, by may you should've have it. Try contacting them and tell them you havent received it.
