You can absolutely request that she be dropped off at daycare.  Granted, transportation issues vary from district to district, but the worst the district can say is no, right?  In that case, make sure you are very specific with the reasons as to why it would benefit your daughter to be transported to day care.  Absolutely mention routine, structure, consistency, etc.  Good luck and keep us updated!

Here the transportation form has the home address and the alternate address, like the daycare address.  It states on the form here what days the child would be dropped off at daycare.  Or even picked up for daycare.  Just make sure the language is easy enough for a five year old to understand, lol.

I thought I would ask the professionals on this one.  My dd is PDD-NOS with Autistic tendencies - developmentally delayed.  I was wondering about some things.

I am a middle school teacher and the school district I have worked for has been very accomading for my daughter.  My question is  "can I request the school district to pick my child up and then deliver her to her daycare?"  They transported from PPCD campus to the daycare provided for employee's children. Last year, I dropped off her twin at the daycare and then took Callie to the PPCD camplus.  It was rough b/c she was very clingy and had lots of meltdowns.  The emotional attachment thing made it very difficult and she cried for me for the first couple of minutes once I got her there.  I thought that I could request that I drop both off both at the daycare and then transportation would pick her up from there and then bring her back before lunch ( she loves to ride the bus, BTW).  Will the district do this for me?  Our mornings are hard enough, but without the "drama" of mommy carrying her in to the school, I think it would be more beneficial in terms of structure and consistency (without the emotional stuff).  She has her ARD in August and I wanted to ask.  Is this ok to request? Thanks to any and all who answer.  You guys are experts on the subject.
