Its sharks so she might find it scary, don't know. http://www.popcap.com/games/typershark Click the play in browser window at the bottom and you don't have to download or pay for anything, she can play it in the browser.

Thanks everyone:)

Shelly, my youngest son can not type yet but whenever we go to the Mac
store he loves to try the Sponge Bob Typing Program. (They have a kids
sections with 4 or 5 macs loaded with kids programs) I think I will get it for
him when he turns 7. As I recall with my other two children, it did not
matter what program they used. What mattered was the time they spent on
it. They both learned in 4th grade and the teacher had 3 or 4 different
typing programs. My sons favorite was the basketball one.

We use type to learn ....it is the one that the school also uses.

They have a similiar one on Neopets too if she likes that sort of thing.. It also rewards her with points for however far she gets that can be used elsewhere on the website. Though, she also has to maintain a neopet to play the game..Not sure if you want her to have to do that every few days to learn to type..
Here is a link , hope its helpful. http://www.iser.com/special-needs-software.htmli did mavis beacon in intro to computers

My 10 year old daughter loves typer shark.  She loves it so much we bought the full program. She has been using it for a year.

I bought a cheep Typing game at Walmart 4.99,its called SNAP Typing, it can run very slow ,you need to type the word before the rocket ship explodes, I like it because it only has one word at a time.

Sarah is into making books and loves to type on computer but does not know how to do it like mommy:) She wants to type fast:)

I want to get her a typing program that she will like~kid friendly..any suggestions?

I think it will be a great way to increase her expressive side since I noticed the  adults with autism do very well typing their thoughts so much easier than verbalizing them....more articulate in writing than I am:)

ShelleyR39246.2861458333I am a high school business teacher...Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing would be great for her.  Basic instructional keying, games related to keying, and adjustable speed or w/p/m.  My kids have used All the Right Type.  I like the program.  We got it free from school, but I am sure you can purchase it.
