welcome I also have a five year old son who is somewhat high functioning he is verbal but has alot of agression and behavior issues. so we will have alot in common how long has your son been dx'd? Hopefully you will find this board as helpful as I have alot of nice mom's and dad's here!!!
Amber I just wanted to say hello.I have been lurking around this sight for about three weeks and I finally got around to joining. My five year old son is autistic (high functioning ). I just wanted to post to say that finding this forum has been a real blessing!You guys have really taught me some things and led me to some wonderful websites to help my son. Lurking no more - S.T Hi and Welcome to the board!! Glad your not lurking anymore!! I have a 3 year old son with autism. I also have a boy 12, a girl 11, and am pregnant with a boy due in mid aug. We have alot of the same issues that I have seen some of you all post about ( the screaming , potty training ,fear of public restrooms ) So I am so glad I found this forum. 
My son Luke is 28 mos and dx'd with PDD-NOS and my son Andrew is a
month old ... nothing untoward about him except we think he has a dairy
allergy!! Since I'm nursing, I guess we're both on a break from
dairy to see if that's the problem. I'm getting about 4 hrs sleep
per night, so if I ramble sometimes, please forgive me!
