it is all about how your child learns. teacch around for years. my son followed teacch programing. it is a way of learning. think they should be used together. each child is different and will respond better to some forms of teaching. WHats the difference with these two? The schools here do the teacch and act like ABA is something bad.The teacher called me today and said that the board would offer teacch to my son but not ABA.Is teacch something that will steal help alot?
UUUUUGHHHH ... Dreamy, I THINK that TEACHH is a somewhat newer program, they are compared in Educating Children With Autism but I cannot tell you how they compare.
Everyone has their pet therapeutic style. There are about ten main ones compared in the book ... no direct comparisons have been made among them in well-designed studies ... I cannot offer direct advice but, from the literature and what I have read, which style is not necessarily as important as how well-trained and experienced the therapist is.
