People from chat know I have a window a/c along with the a/c that is already here. Apparently the existing a/c only cools the apartment and not the record business. Which is weird but hey that is old buildings for you. So it has really been hot here and of course the dumb women next door leave the front door to the building open during the day. And of course there is asphalt out in front and of course that is where the sun is all day long. So you can just imagine how hot it gets. Now I do have solar screens up. But the old a/c will get to where it doesn't feel like it is working. Oh yeah once you turn it on it doesn't turn itself off.
So anyway I was running the window a/c, had it plugged in to an extension cord into an outlet because the owner was too cheap and lazy to fix the outlet next to the window. So yesterday I happened to feel of the extension cord. It was hot!!!! So of course I unplugged it and turned the a/c off. I went and got a surge protector today and went to plug the a/c into it. It was in the process of melting to the extension cord!!! So either there was a bad electrical surge or the electric here is way out of date.
