Great SEIT in Westchester? | Autism PDD

Anyone know of a great SEIT in the Westchester, NY area for preschool age mild pdd-nos kid? (CPSE enrolled.)Is the school suggesting someone?  Is your child already in a program?  If you post the particulars, I can ask some of my contacts in Westchester.  Don't pm me -- it doesn't work.my son will be eligible for 12.5 school seit hours for summer and fall. 9:15 through 11:45. very supportive school. the school district will, no doubt, suggest someone but i was not satisfied with the ones he got this year and i want to be proactive this time around. my son is a great kid. fairly mild pdd-nos. lots of pragmatic language; no cognitive problems (knock wood); open to working with new people; pretty good eye contact although not great. what i really need is someone who will get him to attend -- my goal for the coming year is to get him to complete the arts and crafts project each day. i'm hoping that over the next year he might also initiate reciprocal play, but i'm not counting on it. he does best with someone energetic and proactive. firm but fun and play oriented. i can go on and on. let me know. tzoya: i should add that my son is going to stay in mainstream next year (where he is this year) b/c his team really thinks he's made great progress and i agree. I can email someone about this but it depends on where you live in Westchester.  I don't think parents have the right to request a particular teacher.  That said, sometimes it helps the District if you give a recommendation.  It can't hurt.we are in rye. I spoke to my friend who is a very active advocate in Westchester.  She says that school district jealously guard their SEITs and hold on to good ones.  She has no information about recommendations, sorry to say.
