My Son Has a Black Eye | Autism PDD

Read this from bottom to top...

They called me at work.  I called the daycare after Mrs. Kirksey called me.  I spoke with Ann at Barton Academy at 221-4220. She left a message for Mrs. Chapman to call me but I never got a call.

 

I called the daycare to see what they thought of his eye and to see if his daily report specified the black eye.  All it said was he hit a boy and lost computer time.  I called the school and asked the secretary to have the black eye report ready for me when I pick him up tomorrow for the Dr. Appt.

 

 

 

 

Did he come home with the black eye or did they call you?  I think that I would take him to the doctor and document it with pictures and maybe even a let them turn it in the child services. Let the physician do the dirty work.

Hey Girl!

 

Skyler’s Neurologist appointment is tomorrow but he just got a black eye at school.  The teacher said Skyler bit a child for no reason (ya right) during floor time on Tuesday and on today.

 

Let me back up…Mrs. Evans (substitute turned para-professional) was put in place on 2/28 because Skyler escaped from the school and was found by the police on Fifth street.  She quit and did not return after Spring Break so he now has no paraprofessional.  The paraprofessional attended his FBA IEP but it was never documented why she was there.

I left a message with Ann at the public school district special education department because his LEA is out this week.  Should I take him to a doctor today or wait for him to be seen in Pensacola tomorrow?

 

Take him to the doctor immediately or they could say that he got the black eye out of school.  HOpe you at least took a photo. Ask the bus driver if he or she saw the black eye on the way home.I spoke to the daycare after I received the call from the teacher.  The daily report indicates he hit and bit another boy but it doesn't say anything about his black eye.  I called the daycare immediately after they picked him up and they read the report to me so I called the school and told the secretary I need an incident report about his eye.  This morning I faxed over to them what he told the daycare about his eye and also what he told me.  I'm contacting the case worker where he receives mental health services.
