hello all :) I have been trying to figure out what is appropriate for collin in terms of placement. He has one more year of preschool before starting kindergarten. The school has said they want him in either two to three days a week community preschool, and two days a week in a contained classroom, plus a 90 minute speech class. In terms of hours I am very happy that he will get 4-5 days a week 2 hours a day. He needs it but I am not happy with the fact that he will be in two seperate schools yet again. He did it this year for a couple months and he is just having the hardest time. They claim they dont have anything to offer 4-5 days a week at the same place with the same teachers ect. He does much better in the contained classroom but they only offer that two days a week. I would almost rather have him in a community preschol with an aid the whole time so he can try and make friends and get used to the situation more.
I really dont know what to do. Am I asking to much??? Or does it make sense?? How do I go about trying to do this?
