School Aide I am overwhelmed with the paperwork and reading material. Can anyone help with where I go to start justifying an aide. Everyone tells me my son should qualify but I don't know where to go to find it in print. Thanks I guess I was lucky in that my son's teachers requested it themselves early on in his education.  They couldn't do their job while giving him the attention he needed.  And having the aid in their classroom helped with all the students, not just my son.  It's really a matter of a few basic questions.... Can your child's teacher give him the individual attention he needs while keeping up with the rest of the class?  Is your child struggling in any areas and need extra attention in places like the lunch room or PE or anywhere else?  Does he have trouble staying on task in the classroom and require extra help to keep him focused?  I'm sure others will have some great suggestions for you.  I was lucky in this area.
