Hello everyone - just looking for advice...My son (9 yrs. old-3rd grade) has just completed his first two days in the ASD classroom. The first day went okay because he had state testing in the morning, however, today was not a good day for him. He does not want to be the room, but in his old classroom. He says the teachers are mean. I'm sure that they are not, just trying to get him to do his work. I feel for him
, he just wants things back the way they were. Does it get easier for them?
The simple answer. Usually. Transitioning and changes are hard for our kids - mine at least. Any changes - someones sick or out ... assemblies...anything can make his day a little rough. Keep your chin up - give it some time...
