Mama -- the most beautiful name in the world!

My son started calling me mama at 4yrs. He'll be 8 next month and it still tugs at my heart strings when I hear him call me that.

That is a wonderful gift:) I used to teach Sarah the "Barney song? just so I could hear the "I love you part..she had no idea what it meant but I loved hearing her sing the words anyway:) Now she says freely and means it:) Thanks for sharing! My four year old said Mama for the first time last night. It was really amazing, he has never said mama before. I work with him all the time trying to encourage him to say it but I know that da for dad is much easier for them to say. We are going to keep at it though now that I know he can say it. Its such a precious word to hear. I was so proud of him and it made me feel so good. What a GREAT day!  Congratulations, Mama! That is so AWESOME!!!  That must feel so good!!!  Happy for you!  Way to go Jack!!  Sometimes, I think my son says "Mommy" way too many times in a row, but this reminds me of how much I shouldn't take that for granted.  It is the best feeling and it brings tears...
