I have several friends who have done this.....it is rigorous process of videotaping, peer reviewing etc. The teachers are put through a lot, but only the best of the best can do it!
Yesterday i went and visited my son's 6th grade school. They have a 6th grade inclusion team there where all the teachers are nationally board certified. And have been trained about autism and other disabilities. I guess the question i have is what is the process of a teacher becoming nationally certified? What type of training do they need to go through to become this? Will it help my son? Please bear with me as I'm ignorant on this subject.
Thank you!
