I would ck w/ the local schools 1st - they might have autism classes in their public schools - they do here in Florida. We also have private schools. ck out the centers for disabilities they might point you in the right direction too.
Hi, I just posted a message trying to find a facility for a client of mine who would like to know about schools that she can bring her child to that is somewhere near the Great Lakes Naval Base that she will be transferring to in the next few months. The reason for this additional post was that I wanted to make sure the the topic words would get me the information that I needed so that I can help my client get all the info that she esperately needs. the Great Lakes Naval Base is in the Northern Suburban Special Education district. heres the link http://www.nssed.k12.il.us/ then click on services, and voila!!!!
I am in the chicagoland area, and what they would have to do is start with the school district. Start with whatever school your familiar with, even one in your suburb, and they will start heading you in the right place. If they seem clueless, which sometimes can happen
