After spending 2 years of staying at my sons school from 8 to 12 daily, working with his teacher to get desks, books and computers etc. I thought I was making head way, then they fired the teacher and the other teachers stole all the books and the class computer. I decided to home school my son. He has his good days and bad. Does anyone else find that you may spend hours helping your child to learn something simple and then they walk past the computer and say something like "WOW THAT'S GREAT TECHNOLOGY" and keep on walking while you sit there looking dumbfounded. My son picks up a word or a phrase and he finds everyway to use it. This goes on for about a week. I always compliment him, saying really good talking. This week he is saying "YOUR BEING ANNOYING" This is his answer to most things I ask him. He can really can test my patience. I've learned to take it as just his funny ways laugh on the inside. I keep I like to hear you talking buy that is not nice to say. He say sorry and then a little while later he says it again. Unfortunately my sister did not get the joke when she called during our school time. He picked up the phone and said hello...your being annoying...goodbye....click

I've got to hand it to you and any mom out there that home schools!! I think it takes a special kind of person to be able to do it. My son will pick up phrases and they will last about a week or more but it is usually echolalic in nature and USUALLY he doesn't use them in context. There have been times where he has but I'm not even sure if he knew it was in context or not. LOL But he is 3. I don't know or remember how old your son is. Here recently Adam has been going around the house singing the "baby bottle pop" tune from that candy comercial. Now I can't get that darn jingle out of my head!! Thanks son..LOL

You son sounds so cute. My son is 13. His sentence is a running joke now. Last night I'm watching TV in bed and my husband says Turn off the TV, your being annoying. He started saying this last saturday. My husband is redoing the floors and when the bathroom door is closed it takes away most of the light in the hallway. Well my son was in there for about twenty minutes and my husband knocks on the door and says hurry up, I need the light. My son answers "Your being annoying". My husband came into the kitchen and said you won't believe what he said to me. Then we said boy does he get away with murder. I know what would of happened to me if I had ever said anything close to that to my parents.
