If any of you parents have your child on Risperdal, please get your child off of it slowly with the help of a doctor! My daughter died January 23, 2005 possibly due to side effects from Risperdal and Zoloft. In addtion, always remeber that today may be the last day you say " I love you" to your child or children.
Kaylasmom. I am so sorry you lost your beautiful child. It must be an incredable difficult time for you. My son is on risperdal and has been for several years. Nothing else seems to work and I know of other drugs out there that have more serious warnings on them. What if I may ask leads you to believe her cause of death was related to risperdal? How long was she on it? How do you know it wasn't related to zoloft or something else? Im sorry to ask such details but it is hard to pull away a drug that has been the only thing that has helped. Thanks for caring enough about other children to warn parents. I am so sorry for what you have been through.

Kaylasmom, so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately I do know what you are going thru. So if you ever need to talk you can pm me. It must be so devastating for you. I do have one question for you tho , and you might feel more comfortable talking about it in pm than on the message board. But what led you to believe that zoloft and risperdal contributed to her death? I know the fda recently turned down the application for risperdal as a autism drug. The fda stated high risk of death but didn't offer any details.
