That is wonderful.  I know what you mean, knowing that our kids are looked after and have special consideration.  I'm hoping he has a wonderful time - sure he will!

Hope he has a good time!

Fifth grade is the end of elem. school here.  Our 5th graders do an overnight camping thing at a camp nearby as an annual trip.  I was worried about it for Tony, especially with the food thing.  But they ended up having Domino's pizza for dinner, which worked out great.  Also, the one male spec. ed. teacher was one of the "chaperones" so Tony had a buddy the whole time.

Those trips can really work on our kids... not to mention give US anxiety attacks!

Let us know how it goes.

We just went to Medievil Times (Dallas) for older daughter's 16th  birthday last Saturday:) I noticed one boy next to us holding his ears alot..so it is very loud.  Have you any foam earplugs?  I got some for Sarah for places like this.  One thing you might want to remember too at this place is they have a whole open room where the people wait before show which is mighty crowded so see if maybe he can go to quiet room before show starts too.  They also have tons of souviners~wooden swords, tons of light up gifts, banners ect....so he may need some moula

Dragon tale soup>veg soup..half a baked chicken...slice of garlic bread, spare rib, dragon egg>1/2 baked potato:) Tea or pepsi..and a apple pie stredel for dessert. (no utentsils)

It was so much fun but over 2 hours long!  Hope it goes well! Keep us posted!

Adam is in 6th grade, which is the last year of elementary school for our district.  His grade always takes a big trip at the end of the school year.  This year they will be taking luxury buses 1 1/2 hours to see Medieval Times dinner theater.  If anyone knows about this it is a huge venue with 1200 seats and they have knights and horses jousting in the middle.  As you can imagine, several problems with that.  Too big, too many people, too loud. Oh and not to mention they don't have a choice of food and Adam is very picky.  Also, parents are not invited.

Well, it has been arranged that Adam's special ed teach volunteered to go with him and be his bus and seating buddy.  I e-mailed the venue and they will allow him to bring in whatever food he wants, and they have a quiet room he can go to if it gets to much for him.  I am overjoyed....This is so great, he gets to participate and I don't have to be on pins and needles the whole time.  It is great when a plan comes together.

EXCELLENT NEWS!!!!

Thanks Shelly.  Yes, they told me that he would have a place to wait.  And since his teacher will be with him, he should do ok.  When I told him what was on the menu, he just kind of looked at me.  I wanted to make sure he knew ahead of time because he recently had a breakdown when his mashed potatoes had skins in them.

We will get some ear plugs also.  Thanks.

I hope he has fun. It sounds like a great time. What an awesome trip! I hope he has a great time! How did it go?  Did he enjoy himself? He didn't go yet.  I was planning ahead.  I will let eveyone know how it goes though.  Oh, I'm jealous!  I'D like to see this show.  There's one in NJ, so maybe we'll go some time. I'm dying to hear how he likes it.Yes, this will definitely be on my to-do list for the summer!  I think my son would just absolutely enjoy it...so would my brother who's almost 40!
