SCL WORKER | Autism PDD

Share

Hello, I am new here, I have a 14 year old mild to moderate son with Autism.  We have been thought just about everything you can image but things have settled down alittle and the summer is planned out well.  My problem is with his SCL worker, I know what they do on thier own time is their buisness but what about when it crossed over to my son.  She has a habit of partying at night and not always making it the next day.  She just calls in sick, I don't know if her employer is aware but it sort of scares me that she is in charge of my child several hours a day.  She also has had two sucide attempts in last year.Well if it were me and my child, I would be on the phone to her boss and requesting someone who is a more capable reliable trustworthy person to look after my son. That is your right.

Hi Redshoes, welcome to the board.

I agree, I would call a supervisor and explain my concerns and ask for  a new worker plain and simple. They may have to speak to the person and give it a chance to work out but I would keep a list of what happens and not hesitate when another problem arises. If that didnt help I would go to the next person up the ladder. Keep ocumented resords of all calls date time person and summary of the call, as well as a copy of all written corespondence.

I agree with these ladies here......uhhh time to get on the phone and make some complaints and get someone new!!!  By the way...WELCOME!!!
