Hockey brag | Autism PDD

My son finished his initation (sp) Program for hockey on Saturday!  This is a big deal for us.  You need to pass many different levels of skills in this program before you can play on a team. Some kids start training for playing hockey at 4!  He was nowhere ready at 4. He started asking to play at 8.  He started when he was 10!  He is thirteen and he is ready to play on the league!!!!!  He worked long and hard for this.  A lot of kids got through the program a LOT sooner by he kept with it.  I am proud of him.

I can't wait for the first game!

Be ready for  Mom. I used to play roller hockey and that isn't nearly as rough as the stuff on ice.  Woo hoo that is great !!Janis, he's turning into a regular jock!  It's great, all these activities.  It must really help him with his same aged peers, not to mention his health and self esteem.  WTG.
