You can buy the tapioca pearls in the grocery store in the baking section. they usually come in 2-3 different sizes. depending on what you are gonna be doing with them.

I have my 4 yr old GF/ CF/ cor & soy free.  have any of you tried the above, are the OK on the diet we are following.  Hopefully they taste good?  Appreciate any help - sometimes i feel overwhelmed by the diet !!!

Tapioca is like a pasta like texture and taste... usually people have eaten "tapioca pudding" its yummy~no real taste but texture:) Never done the other 2 items you named.

Hi Shelly!

Where can I buy the tapioca pearls - I think thats what they are called.

Thanks for your help!

Sandy

I have used quinoa and tapioca in diet adventure.  The quinoa was expensive, but adds quite a bit fiber and protein (which I need to sneak in and this a good way).  I have made banana bread and a high-protein waffle with a blend of quinoa and rice flours.  I think it kind of adds a buckwheat type taste to it.  My son went from eating Eggos to the homemade waffles without noticing, but he is pretty young.  My 6-year-old who does not need the diet and loves bread and milk, was not impressed with the quinoa items, but will eat things I make with rice flour, with the exception of my poor attempts at rice-flour sandwhich bread.  Hope this helps.  Good luck.

Thanks kajoli !

I have tried it recently as well.  Even made potato cutlets with tapioca tonight - but my son has to try those yet.  I am trying to introduce a wider variety in his diet.

Do you have any special recipie or you just boil the pre soaked tapioca in milk (almond milk, or whatever substitute) and add sugar?

There is an Indian breakfast snack called Sabudana Khichdi

I bought some Tapioca pearls at the Indian Grocery story ( pretty cheap) and I will try it this weekend
