Fred, I saw in one of your other posts that you are giving the girls soy milk. You might consider changing that to another type of milk such as Almond Milk which my klids loved. Soy milk has an estrogenic effect that you probably do not want for them. FYI..we used potato milk for Sarah and she loved it:)  It was while she was on the GFCF diet and I was told that soy has a minute amt. of barley so we skipped it and went to the potatoe milk. It came in powder form so it was convenient when going out~just added water when we got to wherever we were going. Never knew that Soy had estrogenic effect?

I have read that soy does have an affect on estrogen, but it depends on how much the girls consume.  It is always wise to do everything in moderation.  For instance, I rotate soy, potato, almond and rice milk with my kids...and I even mix them.  I know of some instances where children developed an intolerance to certain milks when they consumed too much, ie almond milk and soy milk.

I do think that soy is good in moderation.  I would think that it would be okay unless your girls are consuming like 40oz a day or are consuming a lot of soy products while on soy milk.  This happens when parents try the gfcf diet and put their kids on everything soy related - soy chips, soy milk, soy ice cream, tofu, etc.

Definately something to research.
