At parent teacher conference today the teacher suggested that my
grandaughter needs to go to speacial ed. She is high functioning
aspergers and has just moved to a new home and a new school about a
month ago. it seems strange that hte school suggested the gifted
program half day and speacial ed half day. What can you tell me
to help with this situation?
look up twice exceptionalMaybe they are thinking the gifted class for academics and the special ed class for social skills. Just a guess based on the High Functioning Asperger's dx. Do you have a recent assesment that can guide you here?
