Maybe you could contact each State's Department of Education and ask them for a list of special ed schools in the specific area of the state you are looking at moving to As well as residential treatment centers, also try contacting the county's mental health services and or department of human services to find a list of residential treatment centers in the specific area you are looking for.

SandieI lived in Chicago for many years and had a very good friend with 3 autistic sons. After much research their family chose Naperville for the resources there. That was 10 years ago--I wouldn't be surprised if she was part of the push behind making them even better.

There is an autism school somewhere in Illinois near the St. Louis area. Not sure where but I beleive it has both day classes and in house bording school.
