Has anyone had any expereince with Waldorf schools, they don't specialize in special ED but teach in a different way. They seem to take the holistic approach with no pressure on students. Don't know to much about them but wondered if anyone had anything they could share.

Thanks

I don't have personal experience, but my daughter's friend goes to Waldorf. It might be good for a high functioning, but sensitive child. They tend to be fragrance free, good lighting. They don't teach reading until age 7. They do lots and lots and lots and lots of arts and crafts and hands on learning. They mostly do organic food and whole grains..ie bread baking. They teach violin to everyone in 3rd grade (at dd's friend's school). Another plus is they follow the same teacher for many many years; however, I know of some kids who were kicked out of Waldorf for behavior problems.
