We recently started our son(4 yrs old) on super nu thera. He only takes 1 caplet per day so far. It says to work your way up to 3 caplets per day. I called the company and they said he can definately handle the 3 per day. He weighs 42 lbs. But what I've noticed is that the ingredients are way above the recommended daily allowance(rda). He also takes 2 softgels a day of nordic naturals omega 3.6.9. Were hoping all this may help his speech. Have any of you used super nu thera? Did your kids take all 3 vitamins? I read a lot of the studies Dr. Bernard Rimland at the Autism Research Center wrote about the positive effects of b6/magnesium(super nu thera) and autism. Thought I'd give it a try since it's fairly safe, but in that quantity? I also noticed my son started wetting the bed again at night after we started giving him the vitamins. I don't know if it was coincidence or actually the vitamins. I heard b6 can make the kids sleep heavier, so maybe he wasn't able to wake up to go? My son is fully potty trained and hasn't needed pullups or had a nighttime accidence in 4 months until now. The last 2 nights he was dry
Hope this was helpful.
Actually the super nu thera I'm giving him does have vitamin A & D in it. I looked and it's 833iu vit A, and 33iu of vit D per caplet. Is that too much in addition to giving him the 2 softgels of omega 3.6.9?I'm not positive of these numbers, but from what I remember you can give up to 2500 of vitamin A and 200 of vitamin D....
