For expressive language you could use the OWLS (Oral and Written Language Scales)
For receptive language you could use the Listening Test
For pragmatics you could use the Test of Pragmatic Language
Though you should read the testing protocols, often these tests are supposed to be administered by people with specific training in speech and language. I don't administer any of these (except for the written portion of the OWLS) because our speech therapist is more qualified to administer them.
Hi everyone. I'm a teacher who teaches an early intervention class (50/50 typical children and children with special needs). I also tutor 3 children with ASDs and a child with DS. I am planning to use the ABLLs assessment with a one of the children I tutor. There are definate language needs that are unfortunately not being met at school. I'm wondering if there are other assessments, etc out there good for picking up language gaps in older (2nd grade) "high functioning" children. Any advice is appreciated. Thank You!
