Payne takes Risperdal, Clonidine, Prozac, Topamax, Lamictal and occassionally Phenergan. My jon takes so many thingMy son Sammy doesn't take any meds... just glyconutrients, which are all natural phytonutrients. It's been exactly two years and he's much much better. You can check out http://www-best-autism-help.com which I started working on last summer and want to add more pages. This is about my personal experience with my son who had once displayed at least 90% autistic behaviors written about in books and magazines.Diagnosis: My son Chance is 6 and will be 7 in June. He was diagagnosed with PDD - Pervasive Developmental Delay which I was told means his outer brain is normal, but his inner brain produces to much dopomine.
Treatment: don't talk at Chance so much; redirect him after 1 short NO or Command. Use toys etc. Keep him calm so he doesn't get to excited and his brain won't release excess dopomine.
Medication: Morning 1/2 pill of Fluxatine & 40MG Stratera, Evening 1/2 pill of Fluxatine and 2 tsp generic Benadrill to help him go to sleep before midnight.
Alternatives we are trying: My mom has been researching and just started Chance on 2 oz of monavie yesterday and will do it again today for the second dose. I am open to trying anything that will improve his life. I really enjoyed reading Sammy's Story that I found on this forum: http://www-best-autism-help.com What wonderful hope that brings to me for my son. My son is not " Autistic " but he has some autistic tendancies. He has never really spoken except for some babbeling.
no meds here!
