I have also heard the theory that high exposure to pesticides can trigger autism. In my last trimester we lived in Navy housing and they used pumper trucks to spray the neighborhoods for bugs. You couldn't breathe outside and the stench followed you inside. He was born in the middle of summer so they were still sprayin' away for months after he was born. Of course they assured us it was entirely safe and we all know you can always believe the govt. I think this theory is similar to the mercury theory in that it relies on there being a genetic disposition and an environmental trigger. At least I think I have that part down, lol. I don't know what caused it but I know he has it. And I know that I have 3 other children who were not similarly exposed due to being born in the winter or in different places and that they do not have it eventhough they were all vaccinated. I don't know, but I wish someone did.Yeah I've heard that too about Chelation...very dangerous--high risk of bacteria etc. ...and the weird part is, in order to find out if you have levels of merc. in your system is to actually start the process! I've also heard that if the mother had mercury in her sys it could pass to baby. Like now days the dentists tend use the white fillings, but not long ago they used the silver fillings that contained mercury. I never knew that until I went to dentist recently and he explained that the fillings could be dangerous to a woman that gets preg. So that's another theory for the books. I also think that it could be a genetic predisposition and maybe the mercury triggers it. It is odd that it occurs 4 times more in boys than girls. How can that be explained by mercury I don't know.
