Hi, I am new-just joined today.

Am wondering if any of you have any info for Michigan? My husband sah been w/o work since July and I am unable to due to cardiac stuff.  Have 3 kids, 1w/aspergers/adhd, 1 adhd and 1 anxiety disorder.  Am trying to find funding for therapy, Drs anything.  The kids do recieve medicaid because they are adopted. Thanks for any help I am naive about medicaid - I have never had it, but I thought those were covered thru it.

Add note - good for you adopting 3 special needs kids!

Ahh yes, that is the myth.  If you can find any providers that accept Medicaid or if you can get Medicaid to approve the service you can get it covered.  The problems I have the most are with specialists and therapists., although I have also had prescriptions that they have refused to cover. (When my husband was working we always just used his insurance because it is easier and covers more.)  Medicaid generally covers well child visits and that sort of thing with no problem. It also varies from state to state and county to county.

Right now I am trying to get my daughters psychiatrist and some therapy covered.  I am looking for possible grants, etc.  that I can apply for that may help.
