Keith wrestled again yesterday and was pinned in 30 seconds. My exhusband took him and he said it went fine. He talked to the coach; the coach said he was doing well he just doesn't have as much experience. Some of the boys have been wrestling since 4th grade. Keith just started this year (7th grader). So I am very pleased to hear he is doing well.
BTW- When my son was 4 yrs old I could not imagine him having any interest in any sports either. I had to chase him everywhere. He was so distracted all the time. He did not really show much interest in a lot of things that required interaction with others for a long time. Ashe has got older he has cared more about finding a place to fit in.
I went to the first one last week. He seemed to fit in with the other kids on his team while he waited. He had to wait about an hour! There is going to be 5-6 teams at each meet. It is so loud in there! It was crowded too. We got very lucky to fined a spot to squeeze into and watch. Keiths turn came and he was pinned in 25 seconds. He handled it well. I was wondering how he may handle defeat. I am looking forward to talking with him at home!
