I learned that children soaking in epsom salt baths at night has magnesium in it and parents swear it calm their kids..some put lavendar drops to help relax:) the sodium binds also to heavy metals and parents use it to detox them too but mostly it is used for calming . I see bags of it at CVS/walgreen type stores.. Since Sarah is passive and probably needs caffiene more than this I have never done it:) I know it works though..I have heard it from 100's of parents from other message board it works:) We gave Sarah the DMG supplement when doing the diet 3 years ago..I am thinking it is b vits & magnesium ??..but it was 3 years ago. It was clear and really tasteless liquid so easy to mix in apple juice. We have the Magnesium citrate for constipation but it is horribly tart and waste of money;~P

[QUOTE=nupurb]Does the combo of B-6 and MagnesiumWith doc hat on...Be careful choosing and using any supplements without doing your homework.
Magnesium supplementation can be helpful, but as a doc, I would recommend determining the magnesium level in the blood first to see if it is indeed depleted.
Calcium is very important for growing children, and if they do not get adequate amounts in their diet, then supplementation is a good idea. However, choosing the best supplement that will not bind up the bowels or cause bloating is important. Again, this is where you must do your research.
Vitamin B6 has been popular for years in both adults and children. The B vitamins are water soluble, so your child will pee out whatever B vitamins are not needed.
